User Content: Images ("Snaps") and geographic coordinates (location data) that you actively choose to provide to place your Snap on the map.
Technical Data & Local Storage: Login information and data necessary to keep track of your posts, likes, and session states.
WorldSnap2026 is a fully public mapping platform. Any photo you upload, along with its associated location, will be visible to all visitors of the website. Please do not upload private photos or sensitive personal information.
We use your data solely to:
Access to your account and the application's core mapping features.
Images via Sightengine AI to ensure platform safety.
Communicate with you regarding security updates or service improvements.
Your account data is securely stored in our database (Supabase).
Third parties do not have access to your personal information, except for Sightengine (which processes images for moderation) and mapping services like Leaflet / OpenStreetMap which handle basic technical data (like IP addresses) to render the map.
Cookies: This application uses cookies to manage your session and keep you logged in. By using our application, you consent to their use.
Your Rights: You may delete your own Snaps at any time using the "Delete My Snap" button from the browser used to post it. You can also request to view, correct, or permanently delete your account data by contacting our support team.
